Technical equipment
Cameras: Formats: P2 High Definition, Digital Betacam, DVCamBetacam SP, DVCPro 25/50. 16:9 and 4:3 reversible. Canon broadcast standard zoom, Canon broadcast wide-angle zoom, Sachtler P 18 tripod, monitor.
Second Unit Equipment: DV Camcorder Sony HVR Z7 and Panasonic HVX200, 4 batteries, charger.
Sound: Sound device 302 stereo audio mixer with directional boom mic, 2 lapel mics, 1 dynamic mic, 2 wireless mic.
Lights: 1 kw Chimera softbox with grid and various Dedo lights.

Team vehicles: Opel Zafira with satellite navigation.

Shoot/Edit crews
For large-scale breaking news events our Shoot/Edit teams have proven highly effective. A team consists of a cameraman and sound assistant equipped with either mobile AVID Media Composer or Final Cut units. As an alternative we offer an AVID Betacam SX laptop editor (Betacam SP compatible). Both cameraman and assistent are trained cutters.

This results in:
Total independence from local production facilities by producing complete pieces on location (filming, editing, sound mixing)
Maximum flexibility: the editing system can be set up or disassembled in 8 minutes
High cost savings: two people cover three posts. No excess luggage costs due to low total weight of the equipment (less than 100kg/200 pounds). Editing in a car, café or directly at the uplink location is possible without additional effort.
Efficiency and speed: Due to our 24-hour hotline and proximity to Frankfurt's International Airport, which schedules the highest number of European flights, our teams can reach the shooting location in the shortest possible time.

WESTEND FILM & TV PRODUCTION INC. caters to the needs of European TV stations filming overseas, filming on Digital Betacam (PAL) and High definition 50i or 60i.
Crews are made up of German US residents which know the most picturesque settings, best shooting locations and the most competent protagonists.
All staff members are German-trained and familiar with European broadcasting formats and standards.
Local teams mean less travelling and no subsequent expenses and jetlag.
All necessary visas, customs forms and insurances required are taken care of. There are no language barriers as all staff members are bilingual.
The existing infrastructure entails mobile phones, contacts to travel agents, hotels and car rentals.
